Delta 2551LF-SS Dryden Two Handle Centerset Lavatory Faucet, Stainless Review

Every 5 to 10 years, I seem to be buying replacement bath faucets, either because we're remodeling or have moved. Over time, I've seen the name brand faucets continue to creep up in price, as one might expect with inflation and other cost increases. In the last several years, prices have actually gone down! The reason is that manufacturers have "cheapened" their products to maintain sales. When you look at many of these faucets in the $100 price range, you now see a lot of plastic and a lot less real metal.

For my current master bath remodel, I needed two faucets that sort-of looked "art deco" because the lights and mirrors were "sort-of" art deco. I say "sort-of" because I didn't want to invest in a true art-deco look. We searched the internet looking at all of the major brands. This Delta was the closest to the look we wanted (squarish, not roundish) and was at a price we could afford (roughly 2X+ the cost of a big-box name faucet that would not have looked as nice).

Once we located this on the manufacturer's site, we searched the internet for it. Of course, as for almost everthing I have wanted in the last few years, it popped up on Amazon at a nice savings. There is some risk in ordering things like this that you haven't actually seen where "look and feel" are important. But, we were pleased that this faucet was very nice looking, fit very well with the lights and mirror, and was of very high quality.

Installation was very easy. If you've ever done this job, you know that the hard part is getting the old one out. This, and most other newer faucets, use a plastic nut to secure the faucet to the top. Without a special tool, it is hard to tighten these nuts either because of limited access or because you can't get enough torque on the nut with your hand. I solved this problem by taking a length of 1 1/2" PVC pipe and making 4 notches in one end that matched up with "tangs" on the nut. Once you see the nut, you'll know what to do.

The only minor nit I have with this faucet in that the setscrew securing the handles is on the side rather than the back. Little plastic plugs are provided that fit in over the setscrews but not "perfectly". Why not put the setscrews in the back? Anyway, I feel that spending a little more for this faucet was worth it in terms of additional quality and a custom look. I worry that the next time I try to buy one, it may be plastic as well.

Delta 467-SD-DST Palo Single Handle Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet with Soap Dispenser, Chrome Review

I would agree with the other review by 'HappyCat'. This was easy to install, and fortunately I had the crescent wrenches that are necessary to do the install. I did the installation from under the sink without removing the sink or even the sink disposal. The base plate came with a foam pad that goes around the edge underneath, but I used some plumber's putty anyway to give it a water-seal just in case.

I read a few other reviews for Chinese made sink faucets that I liked, but I decided to go with this Delta faucet as it appears to me that the Delta brand is a high-quality brand that has been in business for many years. I also have some Delta showerheads in my showers which work great. It remains to be seen if this will leak or not, but it does come with instructions for maintenance in case it does leak.

Its look and appearance is sleek and I love it. The soap dispenser is a nice add-on that keeps your sink less-cluttered. Much better than the old faucet that was in place from the previous owner of my house when I bought it recently.

Delta T2775-RB Leland Roman Tub Trim, Venetian Bronze Review

We replaced our contractor-grade Delta faucet with the plastic "crystal" handles with the Leland faucet. I was worried about finding one that fit over the existing hardware, but since our faucet is mounted in the corner of the tub, I also had to make sure that the new one was long enough to clear the edge of the bathtub. The Leland did both. Not only did the spout clear the edge, but it also sits up much higher, which actually gave us more room in a corner of the tub where the kids were always bumping their heads on the old faucet. It's sleek, modern, and puts out a sturdy flow of water. By ordering through Amazon, I also got it for about $30 less (even before tax) than ordering from the catalog at the local home improvement store.
