Each cabaret lamp has a chrome finished metal base. The sheer black nylon fabric of the shade is folded to create a striped effect. Each style has hanging chandelier plastic "crystals". Sockets on all lamps take 40 Watt candelabra base clear bulb (included). Five strands of crystal beads are suspended from a cap that rests just below the unseen finial. Five candelabra arms inside the shade each support a socket. Hanging from each arm are three small round faceted crystals which make a strand that attaches to a larger oblong shaped crystal. Foot step switch. 5 x 40 Watt. 59.5" Height, 11" Round base. Shade: 10" Height, 16.5" Bottom diameter, 14" Top diameter.

I love this lamp. You don't really find such an expensive-taste-looking lamp around for this small price. It really gives the feeling of a classy and modern environment. It looks good with black/white living room designs. I wish there was a dimmer connected to the cable, but unfortunately there is not one, so you can only switch it on/off by stepping on the switch.

Very easy to assemble. It took me just 15 minutes.

KOHLER K-2214-G-0 Ladena Undercounter Lavatory, White Review

This is a gorgeous sink and I am looking forward to installing it. However, this model does not have an overflow. This is the glazed bottom model, which I assume is available for when the bottom of the sink is visible. For a kids' bathroom, having no overflow seems like asking for trouble. You can tell the difference because the model without the overflow has a glazed bottom and contains a "G" in the name: K-2214-G-0. If you want the one with the overflow, look for K-2214-0. No G. Just wanted to alert others to this issue which is easily missed with the model names being so similar and the lack of overflow being buried down in the description. Here's the model with the overflow: KOHLER K-2214-0 Ladena Undercounter Lavatory, White. Otherwise, looks like a fantastic product--crisp, modern, and large for an undercounter model. Moen 7185C Brantford One-Handle High Arc Pull-down Kitchen Faucet, Chrome Review

Our house was built in the 80s, and I'm fairly sure most the of hardware is original to the home. There is nothing innately wrong with any of it, but the kitchen faucet inparticular is starting to have a minor leak when the water is run at full blast. So, I was thrilled to be given the chance to install and review this beautiful, but kind of expensive, faucet from Moen.

My husband and I are not do-it-yourselfers. So, just to be one the safe side and as to not accidentally flood the kitchen, we decided to have my Father-in-Law come over to assist in the installation process. The instructions were very straight forward. While his Dad's help was appreciated, Mike felt like he would have been able to install the new faucet himself without any trouble.

The idea that the handle can be installed on either side is pretty cool. I would imagine that 95% if people install on the right side, but it's nice to have the option. The faucet has a very high arc and the nozzle attaches and detaches very easily. There is a switch on the nozzle that allows you to switch between normal and concentrated stream, but there is also an off switch on the nozzle, which comes in very handy.

The only warning I would give, if you are replacing a sink with a stand-along nozzle, make sure you get a Faucet Hole Cover. I think it would have been nice if one had been included with this set, although I guess that's not practical. So just heed my warning, or else you'll have a beautiful new faucet and a not so beautiful hole in your sink.

Possini Euro White Flower 19 1/2" Wide Pendant Chandelier Review

Gosh, I love this pendant light! I give it 5 stars for style, quality, and overall satisfaction. It was a little tricky to install, so keep that in mind. We updated a heavy, beveled glass, dining room chandelier with this attractive, plastic, modern pendant. Taking down the old light and putting up the new one was a two-person job. One of us had to balance the heavy chandelier while the other disconnected the wiring from the light box. Mounting the new pendant light was not difficult, but one of us had to use the paint tray on the ladder to balance the pendant light (which is not heavy at all) while the other attached the bracket overhead and hooked up the wires. The screws that were provided for the bracket weren't exactly a precise fit for our light box, and it took a little more effort than we anticipated to get the screws to align properly. Not crazy-making, but a little aggravating. Make sure that you have a couple of different sizes of wire connectors on hand, as well. We had to rummage for smaller ones to fit the wires. The pendant comes with a roomy cover plate so that the extra cord can be coiled up inside. You don't need to cut any wires for installation, which is a nice feature. All that we needed was an electric screwdriver, a pair of needle-nose pliers, a tall step ladder, and a regular ladder. And, a little patience. This light looks so good when it's up that it is absolutely worth the effort. For someone with a little more experience at hanging pendant lights, this would be an easy installation. As far as cleaning it goes, I plan to use a feather duster to dust the tops of the petals and in-between the layers. It works well and looks beautiful with a dimmer and a fluorescent bulb made for dimmers.
