I just had one of these installed as part of an insulated door & opener replacement. My old system was 18 years old. I am extremely happy with it so far and would highly recommend it. The main thing is in how very QUIET it runs. They have re-designed the inside of these and now they have near zero noise & vibration. In fact I cannot hear the motor running even while standing in the garage, only the sound of the door going up or down. Amazing. The remotes are also now much smaller, say 1/3 the size of what they were years ago. This one uses a 3V2032 lithium 5-year battery, commonly found, and inexpensive to replace. The code changing technology assures better security it is claimed, I will trust them on that. This is really an opener to consider seriously. I watched the installer work on this for 4+ hours. Unless you have the skills, time, and patience I would recommend you have it professionally installed. Doing that may insure a better warranty as well.
