After looking at sharpeners for a long time, I decided that most of the flat sharpeners looked complicated to set up for different types of blades. It sounds like from reading the reviews that the Tormak is the best of the sharpeners that produce a hollow grind but the expense is just too much for the amount of use I expect to get out of it. The Grizzly seemed like a good alternative. Like the other reviewer, if you are going to use it for any thing other than sharpening chisels I would suggest getting the heavy-duty tool rest. It is well worth the money. Now I can spend a minute or so on the Grizzly and another on the oilstone for a finial sharpening. I save my self tons of time sharpening plane and chisel blades and I don't have to worry about changing the angle of my cutting head.
