I have two of these heads in my home. One has been in place since the fall of 2006. It is still in "tip top" condition. Occasionally one of the "shower holes" gets blocked. I just gently wipe the tip of the hole (which is a soft plastic or rubber) with my hand and it unclogs. Plus I find that with occasional cleaning you keep the jets spraying straight. If the jets do spray crookedly, you just adjust them with your finger and you can effect a correction.

I like the "champagne" setting for relaxation but use the "normal" or "rain" settings most of the time. I think the price is about midway when compared to other fine shower heads which can run in the $350-500 range. But I believe you get what you pay for with this particular model which has 5 settings. many of the more expensive models only have 3 settings.

I just purchased (march 2012) two more of this model for a second home which we just bought. My only caveat would be that like most plumbing products, Grohe will or already has stopped producing this fine showerhead.
