Although not silent it will be the quietest item in your bathroom. Run any water, even in the sink and you can not hear it anymore. It does take about 15 seconds to get up to speed and make "noise" which is a quiet whir. it very easy to install. It's also a very tall fan and requires 7 inches of vertical clearance to fit but I have a rambler so it was no problem.
