We have an atrium living room with an adjoining walk way at one end that connects the great room to the foyer and master bedroom. We purchased two of these sconces to go on each of the wall along that walkway, which is fully open to the living room. As such, they serve as an accent to the living room as a whole and the rustic decor in that room. I was concerned that the glass might look "cheap", but it doesn't. The fixture is well made and the glass is heavy. The outside edge of the fixture behind the glass presents an attractive "hammered" look along the edge, and the fixture overall is projected off the wall by a rear border that is indented from that edge. It presents a very attractive appearance if you are seeking a rustic look.

I gave it four stars because it does look like a reproduction and does not really look like it is an "authentic" fixture.
